The All India Council for Technical Education, or AICTE, has requested technical establishments to return full price to college students who withdraw their names Before November 10. According to the revised tutorial calendar of AICTE, the final date for cancellation of seats for technical programs with full refund is November 10, 2020.
“In the event of a student withdrawing before November 10, 2020, the entire fee collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs 1,000 shall be refunded by the institution,” AICTE stated in a press release.
Institutes aren’t allowed to retain unique college or establishment leaving certificates of scholars, AICTE stated.
If a candidate leaves the course after November 10 and the seat is stuffed by one other pupil earlier than the final date of admission — November 15 — the course price have to be returned to the candidate after deducing a most of Rs 1,000 as processing price and “proportionate deduction” of tuition and hostel charges, the council stated.
If the seat, vacated after November 10, isn’t stuffed by one other pupil until November 15, safety deposit and unique paperwork have to be returned, an official assertion stated.
For college students canceling their admission at any level of time, the following semester price or annual price cannot be collected, AICTE stated, including that the refundable quantity and paperwork have to be returned to candidates inside seven days of cancellation.
“Institutions not following pointers issued by the council relating to refund of price for cancellation of admission or delaying refund shall be liable to punitive sction as stipulated within the AICTE rules/APH 2020-21, the board stated.
