Athens: 13 folks have been detained on the Greek island of Samos after a fireplace threatened the native migrant camp, police stated Wednesday, days after one other blaze destroyed Europe’s largest migrant camp on Lesbos.
“We are examining the possible participation of these suspects in the incident,” a Samos police supply advised AFP.
The officer declined to establish the nationalities of the suspects.
The fireplace broke out in a forested space close to the Samos camp late on Tuesday, however firefighters have been capable of place it beneath management.
The Lesbos hearth at Moria camp on September 8 left over 12,000 asylum seekers homeless. Police have arrested six migrants in reference to the incident.
