Two days after saying Class 10 or HSLC and Class 12 or HS closing exams might be held, the Assam Authorities on Thursday stated exams might be performed provided that the Covid-19 positivity price drops beneath 2 per cent. The 2 training boards – Board of Secondary Schooling Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Increased Secondary Schooling Council (AHSEC) – will attempt to maintain the exams in mid-July, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated.

Class 10, 12 board exams might be held between July 15 and 20 for 2 to 3 papers. Female and male college students will write the exams on separate dates to make sure social distancing, the chief minister stated.
Query papers might be “objective-type” and simple, the chief minister stated, including that the exams might be performed following the mandatory Covid protocols.

On July 8, Assam Schooling Minister Ranoj Pegu stated the federal government, after session with stakeholders, have determined to carry board exams.
“We will hold the exams with a reduced number of subjects and if necessary, on a reduced number of marks. We are observing the trend of Covid so we might get a window where Covid will be lowest in July and August…we have to complete the exams by August 15,” Assam Schooling minister Ranoj Pegu informed NDTV.
The state authorities may also launch a set of SOPs, for clean and secure conduct of board exams.
