Ian Abercrombie, the actor who was best recognized for playing the role of Elaine Benes’ boss on Seinfeld, has died at the age of 77.
Abercrombie, who did the voice work on the movie Rango earlier this year, was reported to have passed away in Hollywood on Thursday. He has just finished most of his work on the animated series, Green Lantern for Cartoon Network.
Abercrombie’s career spanned more than 50 years and few of them included roles in flicks like The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Young Frankenstein. His TV gigs included playing as Mr. Pitt on Seinfeld, as well as his parts on Desperate Housewives, Wizards of Waverly Place, Murphy Brown and L.A. Law.
He was born in Essex in England and began his career as a stage actor when he was still young in age. May his soul rest in peace.
