Bristol Palin had spent a great deal in Hollywood after completing third on Season 11 of “Dancing With the Stars” then signing on to feature in a reality show alongside her friend and fellow contestant on the “DWTS” , Kyle Massey. Though it’s not too long they began filming, the series winded up and the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin immediately saw the need for her to visit home.
The 21-year-old mom said, in an interview with In Touch Weekly, that it was after she was confronted by a man who took issues with her mother’s politics that she decided it was high time she left the Lower 48 in September 2011. That was while she was riding on a mechanical bull at the Saddle Ranch bar in L.A.
“I wasn’t really into the Hollywood thing,” she says. “After that, I just realized that I was over it. I was ready to come home.” She also wanted to raise her 3-year-old son, Tripp, in her hometown of Wasilla. “When we’re here, Tripp is outside all the time … his cheeks are always bright red!”
Bristol Palin is working as a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office in Anchorage, while her son lives on the Palin family’s property. “It’s great having Bristol here,” Sarah Palin tells In Touch. “She makes good decisions, and she’s always thinking long-term about her and Tripp’s future.”
As for Tripp’s daddy, Levi Johnston, that’s another story. “He’s not using his visitation, and he’s not paying his child support,” Bristol sighs.
